Shonya Cook
Shonya Cook transferred to Doctors Medical Center from one of Tenet Healthcare’s sister facilities, The Hospitals of Providence in El Paso, Texas, where she served as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to her role in El Paso, she was Vice President of Operations at HCA Florida Blake Hospital, overseeing operations for a highly complex 383‑bed facility.
Throughout her career, Shonya has held progressive leadership roles including Assistant Administrator, Director and Associate Director of Surgical Services, and Nurse Manager, bringing more than a decade of hospital leadership experience rooted in nursing practice.
Shonya holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Bachelor of Business Administration, and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management.
