Minghui Liu, MD

Minghui Liu, MD, FACS, earned his medical degree from the Hunan Medical University in 1984, and completed his residency at the Lakey Clinic of Boston, and at UC Davis. He joined FCPP in 2011 as the newest member of the Cardiovascular Surgeon team. Dr. Liu is one of the only surgeons in the area to use VATS, Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery. He uses this device during lobectomies surgeries that remove lobes of the lung. This greatly reduces the amount of scarring from this surgery as well as helps speed the recovery process. Dr. Liu has a wife and a son. He loves to do outdoor walking, as well as cooking with friends and family.
