The Ruby E. Bergman Women's Diagnostic Center offers the latest advancements in the detection of breast cancer. Inside the Center's beautiful, spa-like facility, you'll find the very latest in digital mammography. At the Ruby E. Bergman Women's Diagnostic Center, you will be cared for by our nurturing staff who treat you with the care and compassion you deserve.

At the Center we follow the American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines for mammography. The ACR recommends annual screening mammography for women starting at age 40. This affords the maximum benefits of reduced breast cancer deaths, less extensive treatments for cancers that are found, decreased chance of advanced disease at diagnosis and discovery and treatment of high risk lesions. Breast cancer incidence increases substantially around age 40 and even earlier for high risk women and women of color.

3D Digital Mammography

Emanuel’s advanced 3D digital mammography technology captures highly detailed, layered images of the breast, allowing for improved accuracy in detecting abnormalities. This advanced imaging also provides a shorter, more comfortable exam experience compared to traditional mammograms, helping to enhance both diagnostic confidence and patient comfort.

Stereotactic Breast Biopsy

The Ruby E. Bergman Women's Diagnostic Center, located within the Emanuel Cancer Center, now offers advanced 3D-guided stereotactic breast biopsies. Our biopsy guidance system is designed to enhance imaging precision while prioritizing patient comfort throughout the procedure. We are proud to provide comprehensive breast health services—all in one convenient location.
