Having a baby is an exciting time. Our labor and delivery team at Doctors Medical Center of Modesto and Emanuel Medical Center understands that every woman and pregnancy is unique. We want to make your childbirth experience as comfortable as possible.
Our team of doctors, nurses, childbirth educators and providers is ready to serve you with warmth and understanding, as well as experience, technical skill and clinical judgment that are vital to a positive delivery experience.
Our birthing centers in Modesto and Turlock offer:
- Certified breastfeeding/lactation consultants who can provide support during your hospital stay
- High-risk pregnancy care and support by perinatologists, doctors who specialize in high-risk pregnancy and delivery
- Childbirth education classes in English and Spanish
- On-site NICUs for babies born prematurely or with complications
- Online pre-registration
Labor and Delivery in Modesto
At Doctors Medical Center of Modesto, we offer comprehensive maternity and neonatal care for you and your baby, including:
- 15 private labor and delivery suites designed to give you comfort and privacy
- Level III NICU – one of the highest in California - for neonatal intensive care of prematurely born babies and critically ill newborns. This means we can provide more complex levels of care, if needed.
- OB hospitalist/laborist – 24/7 on-site for OB emergencies and/or active labor
- 24-hour anesthesia providers
- Neonatal and maternal transport teams for mothers and/or newborns in distress

At Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock, we offer:
- Eight specially designed labor-deliver-recovery rooms
