Our surgical team performs breast surgery in Modesto to treat breast cancer, breast masses and cysts in the breast. Whether cancer has already been diagnosed and surgery is needed to remove it or cancer is suspected and surgery is needed to remove and further assess an area of concern, our surgeons will provide skillful and compassionate care.

Our surgeons conduct minimally invasive colorectal surgical procedures to treat benign and malignant diseases of the colon and rectum. This includes removal of cancerous and non-cancerous polyps and tumors within the colorectal area.

Patients with diverticulitis that is severe or life-threatening are candidates for diverticulitis surgery in Modesto. A bowel resection will be performed either with the infected portion of the colon removed and the healthy remaining ends attached or with the infected portion of the colon removed and the bowel then connected to an opening in the abdomen. The latter option may be temporary or permanent, depending on recovery after surgery.

Gallbladder surgery, or cholecystectomy, is a gallbladder removal surgery that is performed when the gallbladder stops working the way that it should. When the gallbladder stops working as it should or bile levels become unbalanced, hard fragments known as gallstones begin to form.

Gallstones do not go away on their own and they can begin to cause pain or even other symptoms. When this occurs, removing the gallbladder is usually the course of action. A cholecystectomy is a very common procedure and may often be done laparoscopically, leaving smaller incisions and requiring a shorter recovery period.

Many hemorrhoids may be treated with lifestyle changes and non-prescription medications, but when hemorrhoids become a quality-of-life issue, surgery may become necessary. A hemorrhoidectomy can be performed to remove internal or external hemorrhoids to restore the patient’s comfort and quality of life.

Because hernias do not typically get better on their own, often grow bigger and in some cases can lead to life-threatening complications, surgery is often recommended. A hernia operation repairs the hole in the tissue causing a lump or bulge. While not all hernias require surgery, your doctor will likely recommend it if the hernia is causing pain, limiting your daily activities, growing larger or raising concern for other risks.

A paraesophageal hernia repair restores the normal anatomy of the esophagus and stomach by closing a defect in the diaphragm. This surgery is often minimally invasive and can help to improve or eliminate heartburn and acid reflux.

Endocrine surgery focuses on diseases of the thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal glands. An endocrine surgery procedure may be used to treat a wide range of diseases and disorders, including diabetes, Cushing’s syndrome, Grave’s disease, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, parathyroid carcinoma, adrenal cancer and thyroid cancer.
